Calvary Episcopal Church has benefited from the resources left by those who came before us, including our beautiful building and our rich history. Likewise, members today bear responsibility to future generations of our faith community. An effective planned giving program can ensure that resources will be available to fund important ministries in the future.
The Calvary Endowment provides significant funds to the church annually, based on gifts received and its investment earnings. The endowment benefits Calvary by providing a stable, long-term financial base for parish efforts that are not included in the annual budget. Many of the gifts to the endowment have been provided through estate plans.
Unrestricted gifts enable Calvary to respond to future ministries by directing gifts wherever they are most needed. Gifts also may be restricted for use in the specific ministry of the donor’s choice.
Planned giving is not to be confused with annual giving or capital campaigns that fund specific capital expenditures. Rather, planned giving is focused on educating potential donors about opportunities to support the ongoing mission of Calvary Church. These opportunities can be tailored to meet the donor’s financial and estate planning needs.
Calvary would be honored to help you be a good steward of God's bounty by making a planned gift to the church. Not only will such an act of generosity help ensure the future of this church, whose work is important to you, it will also serve as a testament of your values for generations.
