Calvary Place Childcare Center
901-521-7877
Childcare for Children Aged 6 Weeks
to 5 Years
Calvary Place provides nurturing childcare in a downtown setting.
Here children and their parents experience a faith-based atmosphere,
in a multicultural setting, which includes socio-economic, religious,
ethnic and racial diversity. Calvary Place provides a supportive
environment which allows both parent and staff caregivers to nurture
children effectively. The developmentally appropriate curriculum
encourages the growth of motor, language, cognitive, emotional, and
social skills.
The
center opened in September 1993, after research by Calvary Episcopal
Church identified downtown childcare as a need in the community.
Calvary Place is a private, non-profit corporation which is governed
by a diverse and experienced volunteer Board of Directors representing
parents, Calvary, and the community. Calvary Place received
its National Accreditation in August 1997 and continues to be accredited
today after several reviews.
