Calvary’s Emmaus Ministry is a program of support for persons nearing the end of their lives and the families who care for them. Specially trained teams are equipped to provide an array of services—from helping with the practicalities of caring for someone at home, to assisting family members with household tasks, to sitting with the ill person to give the primary caregiver a break. There are team members who can provide music or a lap labyrinth; others can make airport runs or trim hedges. Each way of caring is undergirded with the prayers of the team members.
End-of-life care is never imposed, only offered in a spirit of gentleness and thoughtfulness. If you or someone you know could possibly benefit from the Emmaus Ministry, please contact one of the clergy.
